Short PSA

Hey! It's Friday and it's the end of toddler week, so I'm back to my normal schedule.

I posted this on social media, but I'm going to go ahead and add it here:

"So...I just read that if an author uses “palpable”, “pang”, or “mix” in their writing, it's a sure sign of AI.

HA!!! OMG. (hahahahahahahahaha)

And BTW, I just used this actual statement in a message to a friend: have mixed emotions about the situation but palpable relief, as well.

I can assure you that because a person has a good vocabulary, it doesn't mean that they are using AI.

And for the record, I have a HUGE aversion to generative AI and I will DNF if I find it was used.

But PLEASE, let's not attribute usage where it isn't warranted. A lot of innocent people will be caught in the crossfire."

I have a WHOLE LOT OF thoughts about Generative AI but that's a post for a different day. That day being tomorrow. But my above statement is all I'm going to say about it for now, other than I am anti-AI and I will never use it in my work.

This is post number one of my day. I do have another that will be coming one I have a link to share (ooooooh mysterious)
