The Daily Joe, July 17

Updated: Aug 1, 2019

Hello and Good Day!!!

Welcome to Wednesday or, as many call it, HUMP DAY! Do you know the origin of the phrase hump day? I sure didn't.

It's my understanding that the phrase came into being in 1965 when a one, Roy Mann, used the term at the water cooler while working at a Dupont plant. Later, specifically in 1975, JJ Cale had the phrase in his song, "Friday." The lyrics were:

Wednesday's hump day, hump day's Wednesday

Over the hump, the week's half-gone

If I had my pay on Wednesday I'd hang out, the hump day's gone

So now you know... There's your random knowledge of the day.

Today, July 17, 2019

This morning, I realized July is already half over. HOW did that happen?!? My writing projects are all clicking along well. Reclaiming Love is ready and waiting for all of you. TWO Days!! Today. Tomorrow. And BOOM! Release day. I'm excited for this one to go free into the world.

The Billionaire's Christmas Cruise is cruising along. It's coming into port for you on July 29th. (apparently, I'm feeling a little punchy today, lol). I'll be working on this a bit more today to make sure everything is polished and ready to go.

Today, I'm also spending some time chained up with In My Chains. Theo has always been one of my favorite characters. Author confessions: this book is giving me some "performance anxiety". I want it to be perfect. That can be problematic when you're drafting. I keep telling myself "Just write it. Fix it later." If you missed my announcement: In My Chains, Tradition Bound 2, will release October 24, 2019.

Don't forget to come visit me tonight on my FACEBOOK PAGE. I'll be interviewing Dakota Rebel at 7:00 PM (EST). We'd love to have you join us and ask questions, too.

Have a wonderful Hump Day!

~~ Brynn

OH! PS! Here are the inspo pictures for Theo and Keera (In My Chains)
