The Daily Joe, July 30

Hey...it's Tuesday.

For those keeping score, this blog is coming to you pretty late in the day. It's been one of those days. It started out good but then had to go out for a couple hours to a volunteer commitment (not actual volunteering but something to go along with it). And then I had to go to an appointment for a couple hours. By the time I got home, it was three o'clock... And well, it's just been one of those days.

So what do you do?

I wish I could just call it done and start again tomorrow. But as any professional writer will tell you, that's not exactly how things go. You have to get in your words, no matter what. Unfortunately, I'm so off schedule, I'm having trouble getting my brain online to write. Even this blog.

I mean, for example, I posted this on Facebook today, and it's not very far from the truth:

Daily Staff Meeting:

Brynn: Okay...you have this story and this story to write. Pick one.

Brain: Zombies

Brynn: Zombies aren't even on the schedule for this year.

Brain: Post-apocalyptic book.

Brynn: Look! This billionaire or this billionaire. PICK ONE. Both have to be done for August.

Brain: Billionaire Zombie

Brynn: Billionaire Zombie? Really?

Brain: ...in Vegas?

Brynn: Meeting over.

So what am I going to do? I'm going to trick my brain (Brain, you can stop listening now)

When I have days like this, I pretend to go with it. Call it a day? Sure. I'll go veg on the couch or on the deck...

With a notebook. I'll fake out my schedule lovin' self and sneak in the words another way. It's not best case scenario, but you do what you've got to do.

Today, July 30, 2019

I'm finishing chapter three of the new Malloy Brother's book, The Billionaire's Beautiful Runaway. I'm also working on the plotting for a book that comes out in October.

I'm just going to do my best.

Happy Tuesday night!

~~Brynn
